QUESTIONS

Questions, answered plainly

What it costs, who does what, where your money stays and what to do if you already have a licence.

Joining and fees

What is BTC Breakout?
One rules-based Bitcoin strategy. You join BTC Breakout, open a trading account with our authorised broker and connect it through Pelican, where you select the strategy and confirm your settings yourself.
How much does it cost to join?
$350, paid once. There's no subscription, no renewal and no hosting fee. You pay in cryptocurrency through Confirmo, our payment partner.
What is the performance fee?
The performance fee is 33% of qualifying new profit, on a high-water mark basis. Pelican calculates it for each fee period, currently weekly, and arranges the deduction through your broker. A fee period with no qualifying new profit has no fee. The fee never goes through BTC Breakout checkout.
How is the 33% shared?
You keep 67% of qualifying new profit. Of the 33% fee, Pelican keeps 3% directly, and it never passes through BTC Breakout. The other 30% is credited to BTC Breakout: 20% is BTC Breakout's share and up to 10% goes to eligible affiliates, across up to ten levels. If an affiliate level is empty or not eligible, that part stays with BTC Breakout. All of these percentages are shares of the qualifying new profit, not shares of the fee.
What is a high-water mark?
It's the account level that must be beaten before another performance fee is due. A losing fee period doesn't create a fee, and winning back an earlier loss doesn't count as new profit. Deposits and withdrawals aren't counted as trading profit. Pelican's statement is the final record for your account.

Pelican, the authorised broker and your money

What do Pelican and your authorised broker each do?
The authorised broker opens the trading account in your name, runs its own checks, creates your MT4 account, holds your trading balance and handles deposits and withdrawals. Pelican is where you trade: you create a Pelican account, pass its identity checks, connect your MT4 account, select BTC Breakout and confirm your settings. BTC Breakout handles your account, the joining payment, setup guides, your registered MT4 number, support and affiliate information.
Where does my money stay? Can I withdraw it?
Your money stays in your account with our authorised broker, in your own name. Neither BTC Breakout nor Pelican holds your trading balance. You can withdraw from your broker at any time. A performance fee that has already been calculated for a past fee period stays due after a withdrawal.
Who can join?
Adults aged 18 or over, living in a country where our authorised broker accepts customers and that isn't on the sanctions list we apply. We don't accept US persons or anyone living in the United States. We check your country before you pay, and the broker and Pelican run their own checks too.
Why do you ask for my MT4 number? Do you need my password?
When you join through Pelican, we never ask for your MT4 password. Before we show your private Pelican link, we ask for the exact MT4 account number you'll connect, so that Pelican's fee records can be matched to your BTC Breakout account. If you change MT4 accounts later, register the new number with us before you connect it.

Refunds and risk

Can I get a refund?
Yes, within seven days. The day you pay is day one, and the window closes at 23:59 UTC on day seven. If Pelican declines your identity checks inside those seven days, you qualify for a refund. Starting late doesn't extend the window, so it's worth taking the next steps promptly. Email [email protected] with your account email and order reference. An approved refund is sent back in cryptocurrency, less the network fee, within five business days, and each customer can be refunded once. The Refund and Cancellation Policy has the full terms.
Can I lose money?
Yes. Trading leveraged Bitcoin products is high risk, and you can lose some or all of the money in your trading account. There will be losing trades and drawdowns. No strategy or platform guarantees a profit. Only trade with money you can afford to lose, and read the Risk Disclosure before you join.

Existing licence holders

I already have a BTC Breakout licence. What do I need to do?
Switch to Pelican from your dashboard between 19 October and 19 November 2026. It's free if your licence is still active: you don't pay the $350 joining fee. Sign in, accept the current agreements once, press switch, then follow the broker, MT4 and Pelican steps in your dashboard.
What happens to my current connection when I switch?
Your licence keeps its term and expiry date until you switch. The earlier cloud hosting service no longer places trades, so trading starts again once you are set up with Pelican. After you switch, BTC Breakout support removes your old cloud hosting connection for you. Your private Pelican link opens once that's done.

Help

Where do I see my trades, and who do I contact?
Your trades, balance, performance and fee statements are in Pelican and at your broker. BTC Breakout can't see or change them. Contact Pelican about your Pelican account, settings and fee statement. Contact your broker about your trading account, deposits and withdrawals. Contact BTC Breakout at [email protected] about your BTC Breakout account, the joining payment, your MT4 registration and affiliate earnings.

Still have a question?

Email [email protected] and we'll answer, or point you to the right company if the question belongs to Pelican or your broker.
